Our Offices 

Learn more about our different offices and the regional family mental health support services we provide. 

Our offices in the North and South Island allow us to reach a broad range of communities and to tailor our family mental health support services to their specific needs. 

We provide a range of services nationally, in different regions and online. Each of our regions offer different programmes and services that can help you. Read this page to find out about the support available in your area.

Who can I contact in a crisis?

If you or someone you know is in a mental health crisis, or at risk of harming themselves or others, please call your local mental health crisis assessment team. 

You can also go to your local hospital emergency department or call 111.

We have two mobile support workers based in Whangarei and Kaikohe.

  • Advocacy services

  • Suicidal distress & postvention support

Taranaki educational programmes and groups include:

  • Children and youth programmes
  • A mindfulness programme
  • A programme for families who have a loved one experiencing emotional dysregulation
  • Monthly family support groups

 

Canterbury

Yellow Brick Road Canterbury support services include:

  • 1-on-1 and group support sessions 
  • Mental health and wellbeing programmes for adults, tamariki and rangatahi 
  • Advocacy services
  • Family peer support groups
  • Referral to other services
  • Wraparound service for those bereaved by suicide
  • Navigation to other services where appropriate
  • Workforce training about how to work with families (suitable for professionals and families)

 

Canterbury educational programmes and groups include the following:

  • Children and youth programmes
  • A programme for families who have a loved one with a personality disorder
  • Borderline personality disorder (BPD) support in conjunction with the CDHB Mindsight Programme
  • A programme for women caring long-term for someone with a mental illness
  • A suicide bereavement programme

  • Turanga Hinematua – Kaupapa Māori program of antenatal education for hapu (pregnant) wāhine and their families
  • Peer support groups (men and women)
  • Resilience program for children/rangatahi
  • Emergency/transitional housing
